Admissions Procedure
Applying for Russian Government Scholarship in 2018
- Create a Personal Account
- Fill in an Application Form in your Personal Account
- Fill in a Scholarship Application Form
Remember to upload your photograph along with the signed Scholarship Application Form. - Create and Upload a Portfolio to your Personal Account
An Applicant’s Portfolio includes a set of required documents, an essay on a given topic and a motivation letter.

- For Bachelor & Specialist degree programmes
- Requirements for content, structure, and assessment criteria for the documents you submit you can find here
- For Master degree programmes
- Requirements for content, structure, and assessment criteria for the documents you submit you can find here
- For Main Aspirantura Programmes
- Applicants who have successfully passed the competition are recommended for the Russian Government Scholarship.

Applying on Fee-paying Basis

- Upload the required application documents to your Personal Account

Tests are designed to evaluate your creative (professional) skills and/or knowledge. All admission tests are held in Russian except for programmes taught in a foreign language. Please, note that titles of admission tests are active links to the list of requirements, recommended literature, and, in some cases, sample tests.
- for Bachelor & Specialist degree programme
- for Master degree programme are in form of competitive selection of documents (portfolios)
- Motivation letter;
- Essay (topics)
- Evaluation criteria for documents and personal achievements
- for aspirantura programmes for training research and training staff competitive selection of documents (portfolios)
- Motivation letter;
- applicant’s description of the prospective research;
- A CV containing information on academic (professional) training, research and achievements, professional experience, etc.;
- applicant’s thesis abstract.
- Evaluation criteria for documents and personal achievements
- If you have successfully completed the application process and succeeded in admission tests, sign the Agreement on Education.
